The Empty Boat

Sitting in this row boat
Knowing I have no hope
No hope for a happy life
None for having a wife
Don’t have a single friend
My life is awful; must end
So here I sit in my boat
A rock tied to me so I don’t float
The lake is quiet, it is deep
It won’t take to long for me to sleep
Into that eternal sleep I will slide
I throw the rock over the side
